3. Pretest - I will announce that the test is going to start and I will ask you to close all running apps on your computer. If you don't i'll do it for you. The test will then appear on your screen. Log in on the first screen you come to and follow the instructions to get started. There are three total pages, when you come to the page you started on, you can stop.
There is a wiki page where you can post questions about the test, it's located here.
1. Pretest. You will be taking a TEST! Already, yep. This is a test on stuff that you already learned earlier in school. This could have been as far back as 2nd grade, so don't be worried if a lot of stuff is unfamiliar. The test will likely take most if not all of the class time. Take your time and answer the questions to the best of your ability.
The question I know you will ask: Are we being graded?
Answer: Yes! I try to give you a grade for everything you do. Here is how this will be graded. 50% of you score will be based on your actual score on the test. I'll curve up by the percentage difference between the best score and 100%. The other 50% of the test will be based on your effort on the test. I'll be going around watching you and scoring you on you test taking skills and effort. What I want to see you doing is patiently reading each question and trying to find the best answer, NOT guessing, NOT talking and distracting others, basically just giving it your all.
